A modern take on the school “100 club”

The idea is simple and proven: supporters pay a small monthly amount for a lucky number, there’s a cash prize draw every month, and what’s left funds the school. SchoolDraw turns that into a slick online experience your families will actually enjoy — and takes all the admin off your plate.

1

We set you up

We build your school its own branded lottery site and get you registered with your council. You’re live in days, not months.

2

Players join online

Anyone can support — parents, carers, staff and local businesses. Players sign up in two minutes on their phone, pay £5 a month, and keep the same lucky number every draw.

3

The draw runs itself

Every month the winners are drawn automatically and paid out. Families can watch the draw and see the running total raised.

4

Your school gets funded

The proceeds land in your school’s own bank account — reliable money, month after month, with no raffle books or cash to count.

🎟️

Effortless for your supporters

No cash, no chasing, no paper. Parents, carers, staff and local businesses can all support — they join once online and are entered automatically every month. They keep their number, they can see the winners, and they can cancel any time. And it’s completely anonymous — winning numbers are shown, never names — so teachers, staff and parents can all take part in confidence.

🏫

Effortless for you

Your Parent Council stays in control and keeps the funds — but we handle the website, payments, number allocation, the monthly draw, winner emails and the running totals. You get a simple dashboard and a predictable monthly income for the school.

Simple, fair, and only when you succeed

There’s no setup fee and no monthly subscription. You’re only ever charged a small share of tickets you actually sell — invoiced after each draw. Here’s exactly where every £5 goes.

10%

What your 10% actually buys

It isn’t a cut for running a raffle — it’s a complete, done-for-you fundraising platform, built for your school and looked after month after month.

What that looks like each month

Monthly entriesRaised (gross)Prizes (50%)SchoolDraw (10%)Your school (40%)To school / year
50£250£125£25£100£1,200
100£500£250£50£200£2,400
200£1,000£500£100£400£4,800

Figures assume a £5 monthly entry. Payment-processing charges (card / Direct Debit) are small and separate. Your school always keeps well above the legal minimum share for a good cause, and you’re never invoiced for a month you didn’t sell. Prize amounts scale with the number of entries, so bigger draws simply mean bigger prizes and more for the school.

Illustrative example

How it could work for “Anytown Primary

Anytown Primary is an example school we use to show the shape of a typical first year — the figures below are illustrative, not a real school’s accounts. A Parent Council launches SchoolDraw at the autumn term, shares it in the newsletter and on the gate, and word spreads.

160
monthly entries by the end of the first year
£3,840
raised for the school in year one
£4,800
in cash prizes paid to families

That’s a dependable few thousand pounds a year — enough for playground equipment, class trips or library books — raised without a single raffle book, and with families enjoying a monthly flutter that gives back to their own school. And because it’s completely anonymous, every supporter takes part in confidence.

Your questions, answered

Is this legal? Do we need a licence?

Yes, it’s legal and straightforward. Your school runs a “small society lottery”, which you register with your local council for a small fee (around £40). You don’t need a Gambling Commission licence for this. We guide you through the registration as part of setup.

Who holds the money?

Your school does. Entry payments go into your own bank account, and your Parent Council pays the prizes and keeps the school’s share. SchoolDraw never holds your funds — we simply invoice our small fee after each draw.

What does it cost us?

Nothing upfront and no monthly subscription. We charge a small percentage of the tickets you actually sell, invoiced after each draw. If you sell nothing, you pay nothing.

What do we actually get for the fee?

Everything — you’re not paying us to run a raffle, you’re getting a complete fundraising platform built and looked after for you. That includes a branded app personalised to your school, secure payments, automatic monthly draws, member and subscription management, hosting, backups and updates, real support, and help getting registered with your council.

How much goes to the school?

In the standard model, 40% of every £5 goes to your school, 50% funds the prizes and 10% is our fee. Your school always keeps comfortably more than the legal minimum a lottery must give to its good cause.

Do parents need to be tech-savvy?

Not at all. Joining takes about two minutes on a phone. Once they’re in, everything is automatic — they keep the same number and are entered in every monthly draw.

Who can play?

Anyone aged 18 or over — parents, grandparents, staff, and friends of the school. Age is confirmed at sign-up, and the minimum age is enforced.

How do you keep the draw fair?

Every draw is generated from a random “seed” that’s recorded and published, so anyone can re-run the seed and reproduce exactly the same winning numbers — the result can’t be fixed or changed after the fact. The ball-machine animation is simply a fun replay of that already-decided result; it never picks the winners itself.

Is it anonymous? Can teachers and staff take part?

Yes — it’s private by design. Winning numbers are published only as numbers, never names, so no one can see who plays or who wins. Head teachers, staff, governors and parents can all support the school in complete confidence.

How are winners paid?

The school pays winners directly, usually by bank transfer, and we email each winner automatically to let them know. Everything is tracked in your dashboard.

Can supporters cancel?

Yes, any time. A subscription can be stopped whenever a supporter wishes, and we make it easy and pressure-free — because a happy school community is the whole point.
